Pacing is a design decision

Dario Amodei argues in “We Must Pace the Frontier” for stronger evaluation alongside capability. At my scale, pacing means not calling a local test a public release and not letting an agent perform a high-stakes action without a check. The scales differ, but the habit of testing before trust is familiar.
